HIGH FIVES
Did you know you can be recognized for modeling our 21st Century Learning Expectations?  You can be nominated for a High Five by a teacher, administrator or other LPS staff members by modeling the expectations for others.  Each month students will be recognized for achievements, acts of kindness, responsibility and hard work among other accomplishments.

Congratulations to the following students for earning High Fives for the month of April.

High Give to Anthony Ellis.  On more than one occasion Anthony has given "heads up" that students new to LHS could use some assistance.  He also wants to be part of the solutions.  This past month Anthony has become friends with our new students, chats with them during tutorial, makes sure they are not at lunch alone and encouraged them to go to prom!  His concern for our new students is genuine.  Thank you Anthony for being a good citizen and promoting a positive culture at LHS.

High Five to Anne Aucoin.  Anne recently baked a birthday cake for a new student here at LHS. This act resulted in a positive experience for this new student and made her day.  Thanks Anne for promoting positive culture.

High Five to Rose Grady.  Rose was accepted to participate in a medical program at UMASS this summer. She will be able to explore the many careers available to her. This is a four week program that is all paid for. Rose's great communication skills and her hard work secured a position for her.

Over the past two weeks, Tyler Jefferson, Ryan Gaudet and Nate Powers all turned in wallets that were lost in school. All three wallets contained money and other valuables and they were returned intact.
Thanks for exercising responsibility!  High Five guys!

High five to Carley Cascione for single handedly painting ever single monument for this years prom centerpieces. She exercised responsible citizenship by keeping to her promise even when she realized it was going to be more work than she originally planned. As a result of her hard work and dedication to prom, she ended up with 15 gorgeous hand-painted scenes of Paris to add a level of sophistication to the Junior Prom. Thanks for all of your hard work Carley!

High Five to the Prom Committee for all of their hard work and dedication over the past 8 months. Starting in September, you all worked together to be a voice for your class. Many of you stepped up to do whatever was necessary to make sure that "A Night in Paris" was a night to remember. From presentations to the class, to decisions in your sub-committees, you all poured so much of yourself into the planning of prom that there was no question of your dedication to the event! Thanks for making the prom unforgettable.

High Fives to Scott LeBeouf and Judy Le for their commitment every week after school working on the enormous mural in the stairwell. Seeing your hard work grow a little bit each week has been a truly rewarding experience. You should both be pleased with your progress! Keep up the great work!  Thanks for promoting a positive school culture.

And

High Fives to Karlee Hill and Anne Aucoin for continually going out of their way to make sure that my room is picked up and chairs are put up for the janitors. It seems like a little thing but helps me out a great deal. Thanks for exercising responsibility!
Congrats to all of our High Five Nominees.  LHS would not be what it is without all of you!
