HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE SUMMER!

High School Announcements

1:1 Parent Presentation
We are currently planning a second presentation for those that were unable to attend the 1:1 parent presentation on June 8th.  Click here for the handout and FAQ's from the presentation.

Roof project 2016 has begun at LHS!
For safety purposes we ask that NOBODY try to access the building during regular business hours.  We will be working, however, it will be best to reach us by email.  We will try to schedule some evening hours as well.  Please check website often as we will update important events such as Athletic Night, 9th Grade Orientation and our Chromebook distribution plan.

I hope you all have a wonderful and restful summer.

Mrs. Hippert

HIGH FIVES

Did you know you can be recognized for modeling our 21st Century Learning Expectations?  You can be nominated for a High Five by a teacher, administrator or other LPS staff members by modeling the expectations for others.  Each month students will be recognized for achievements, acts of kindness, responsibility and hard work among other accomplishments.

Congratulations the following students for being nominated for a High Five during the month of May.

High Five to Kyle Padeni for partnering up with a fellow student on several occasions during Physical Education class. He assisted his classmate by making sure they had the proper equipment and worked with him on his technique in several different activities. Kyle's efforts led to success for both students.

High Fives to Kyra and Shannon Prouty and Jackie and Annalise Robidoux.  During a biology class, the sisters teamed up as Kyra interviewed Shannon about her job at the hospital and Jackie interviewed her sister Annalist about her research at UMASS.  These presentations allowed for fellow classmates to see what opportunities are available to them right down the street from LHS.

High Five to Jaymi Souza for hosting and moderating two town-wide political debates. On May 12th she moderated the Selectmen's candidates' night, and the following Thursday on the 19th she did the same with the School Committee candidates' night. On both occasions she performed flawlessly in front of not just the folks in the audience, but those watching on LCAC as well. Great job Jaymi!

And a High Five to the newly elected officers of NHS.  Elected for less than two weeks, they have already attended the Junior National Honor Society Induction to support younger students, volunteered at the Senior Center helping senior citizens with their cell phones, and met to plan next year's calendar of events. They have stepped it up and shown their advisors what amazing students they are. Thanks to all who volunteered!
